SCHS is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and donations from individuals and businesses help sustain the annual programs, from spay/neuter clinics and financial assistance to rescue programs and educational outreach. Every donation is essential to helping reach our goals of reducing pet overpopulation, cutting shelter euthenasia rates, and placing worthy animals into foster care and forever homes. The Smyth County Humane Society is not affiliated with the Humane Society of the United States.
